it is VERY loud. My exhaust has no resonators and no tip inserts to muffle the sound. Many people get used to it and I am somewhat. There are days however that I wish it were not as loud. I am considering getting some of the tip inserts and putting them on to tone it down a bit. Whether it was the X-pipe or the pipe diameter, I noticed a huge difference between this and my Greddy SP. My dad traded me because he could not handle the noise anymore and he has hearing aids that he wears at times. If you are worried about it being too loud, go with the 2.5" piping and at least get resonators in the tips. Jedi Z here in OKC has that setup and it's not nearly as aggressive and much better to live with day to day. As for tips, get what you want but the quad 3" or the quad 4.5" ovals are my favorite. I personally like the ovals because they look modified but don't look out of place...call it stock on steroids =)
